My new guitar - £30 e bay special. Advice please
This is my Kaman 23 guitar i picked up on e bay for £30. The seller lived locally as well so i drove over and picked it up. Its fairly batter and rusted but it has a lovely thin neck and it plays nicely acoustically. It has a strange old temelo system on it that i want to replace with a licenced floys rose. I'm not really sure how to go about it though. Is is the type of thing only a guitar tech should do. I don't really want to plow a load of money in labour charges on a guitar that's not worth very much anyway. I measureed the trem posts at 74mm centre to centre so it looks as though a floyd could go in there. Is there any room for a 1mm/2mm inaccuracy when installing Floyds? Also, as the trem on the guitar is quite low, would it be ebst going for a low profile version? I'll also change the pickups but that can wait, i'd rather have a guitar that stayed in tune first. Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.....Here are the pics
