My New Pedal Board..

hey guys,
So I've been busy making/building my new pedal board and i finally finished it today. Mounted all the pedals. wrapped the cables together. Made it a bit more nicer and neater.

The pedal board is made of 5/8" plywood with formica finish. measurements around 16 1/2" x 29". The aluminum surrounding is a U channel. So it covers the border of both top and bottom.

not as good as some of the ones I see out there but I am pretty proud of the work I did.

anyways.. here you go. Enjoy.

Only thing I have to do is finish the short cables that go from the Splawn footswitch to the little "patch box" in the corner.

Re: My New Pedal Board..

Thanks again. I am really happy with the results.

Looks awesome.

What does the "patch box" do exactly?
Basicly I plug all the pedals into it and then when I go to a gig, I just un-plug my cable snake from it and done. Instead of plugging the cables into the pedals, I just plug it into that box.

Re: My New Pedal Board..

You use the microamp as a boost or just to drive the signal throught the chain? Just curious...

Re: My New Pedal Board..

Nice and clean! I like the patch box idea ... I may steal that from you ;)
Thanks.

Steal the idea from me? I stole it from someone else. Hehehe

To be honest, it makes things so much easier to wireup at the pedal board. I have all the cables labeled and so is the patch box. So I put my pedal board on the floor and patch it up quickly.

Cheers

Re: My New Pedal Board..

Looks nice. So how are the pedals mounted?

This stuff here:

Its industial outdoor double sided tape. More tear resistant and stick a lot better than regular. Double sided tape.

I pretty much attached all the pedals, lifted my pedal board over my head with pedals facing me and started shaking it. Nothing fell or went loose. Even my wah pedal, which is the heaviest on my board.

Cheers

Re: My New Pedal Board..

hey man where did you get the handles from? I need to get some for my board and those look sweet.

Funny you should ask. I actually got them from my friend carpenter because the 2 I picked up from Homedepot were matching in size. I reach into the handles bin and took 2. Think Ok, they're from the same bin they'll be the same. Boy was I wrong.

So anyways.. i gave the 2 I had to my friend and he gave me those 2.

Re: My New Pedal Board..

Guess I'll have to search around in Home Depot and Lowes to find some that are similar. They look really cool.

The whole pedalboard looks great too! Very nicely done.

Mine is quite similar except I added a raised shelf for the massive footswitch for my dual recto.

Thanks! I thought about the raised shelf my self but then I thought nahhh. I'll just make it a big wider board and put everything at 1 level.
