My new single "FRANKIE" released!

Wee! Finally ready :D

As I wrote in the other thread, I've been working my ass of to get this one as good as I good possibly could with my level of knowledge! Started 25th of February and have been working on and off with it since.



I've recorded and done the mixing, Anders Fogelqvist (sweden) has been assisting me with his wise words during mixing and also did the mastering of the track.

The gear used:

Vocals, all vocals are recorded with a Studio Projects B1 into a Apogee Duet.

The guitar tracks are done with *fanfare* a Squier Affinity Strat and a Marshall Lead 12 SS combo :D, my little sisters gear. Micced with a Studio Projects B1 into a Apogee Duet.

The solo is recorded with my '51 Caster Tele - V-stack Classic - Bluesbreaker RI Combo - Palmer DI - Apogee Duet.

Bass is cheapo P-bas direct into Apogee Duet.

Drums are progged.

Lyrics by my girlfriend and music by me.

I'm really proud of this one as it's the best I've done so far and well... I hope you like it too! :)

Nice to hear that you like enjoyed it, that means that it was worth the work I put into it!

Yeah, really cool to realize that you actually can appreciate a Squier Affinity that much that you leave it in the final mix. I was surprised myself :D

I might as well admit it..I have found myself singing with and pounding my fist to this song a few times.. Even airguitar has happened... Magnificent work Ludvig ;) :D

Great work.
You should warn people the tune gets in you head, I'm huming and pounding the table even after the song ended.

Making simple gear sound that good is both inspiring and awesome.

Blue_Fingers_Jay, I was all excited when I put music to the lyrics beacuse I noticed the same thing. It sticks easily :D

Thanks Pierre and Stevie! Several have spotted the Stones inlfuence as well as the Bon Jovi influence. And to be honest those are my main influences and I tried to make something Bon Joviesque with a vintage touch... Stonesish that is. So it seems like you guys found that, which I'm glad to hear! :)

Nice work! Real similar to Michael Monroe's early solo stuff, even a bit like Smack's mellower side.

A little Dogs D'Amour vibe in there as well.

Keep at it, that was really cool.

That's got a cool vibe going. I like it. I can also pick out the Bon Jovi and Stones in there. You did good in my book.
