Re: My Original John D'Angelico jazz guitar attached
seeker,gripweed,ES350,Jeffrec,GuitarStv,Guys,I am tired from recording sessions all day.Yes GuitarStv,I can do that seminar, but not here.Too much typing. To do it would take about three posts of at least 4 very long pages for each topic.I would Love to help you,and others, but I find that I am either treated Great,or Like a nuisance, and that's not your fault, nor mine .Thank you so much for enjoying my music. You made me feel wonderful to be appreciated.I am truly burnt' from 10 hours of recording today.Join My Yahoo group,It's easier, and everone is very serious about guitar, solos, jazz, blues, funk, clasical ,alternative, pop rock,hip-hop,styles,as well as arranging, composing, and their bands. etc.Go to the bottom of this page, and I would be honored to help you. seeker, yes, that is an very old D'Angelico .You are correct in saying it's not typical D'Angelico inlays, yet John did them, and the tail piece is not typical D'Angelico. It's not the Brass/gold plated job that he usually used.I met D'Angelico, when I was a little boy of 9.I have the DA ledger as well.I will get my DA from instrument cartage, they deliver my guitars to recording sessions, and get a full jpeg. Thanks for asking.D'Angelico would put his neck,on a broken Gibson neck ,just to fix it.He once repaired an old Gretsch ,and added a complete body to a Gretsch neck.He was very polite, and Yes,you have yet to see all his combo/creations.The late Jim D'Aquisto, and I were close friends.Jim serviced My DA from his shop in Greenport ,LI,NY.Jim apprenticed to John, and died from a gran mal seizure at the same age as D'Angelico,58.See Ya,
