My rock sounds from the mid 90s

I just found this track, I thought I had lost it..... This is my old band Red Giant from the mid 90s. It is a tune I did on an 8 track cassette set up I paid 2000.00 for :saeek: :smack: back in 94 or so. I am useing a JB in my Ibanez Strat, a Marshall JCM 900 Dual Reverb head into a g12H75 cab ( the 90s standard lol)

The track is an original I wrote with Arlys Alford who is a hell of a singer. She moved to LA and that ended the group. The track is very raw, was never mastered but is one I forgot how much I dug. I pretty much sound like the same dude still, I just have cooler amps...lol

The bass could be louder and then it would be perfect.

Re: My rock sounds from the mid 90s

Rock! Hehe I hear some 80s influence in there.. especially in the vocals.. a little different than your funkafied tunes of late.. I do however hear that EVH unfluence in there for sure.. nice chops Kevin!
Nasty guitar tones.. like it :)

I like those chords you play on the chorus too.. :D

Re: My rock sounds from the mid 90s

Thanks guys!!

Stevo the forst thing I did when I 'rediscovered' the track was play those chords. It is now part of my playing time, I can tell if an amp is sounding right with those chords.

I was really trying to hang on to guitar rock in a time when no one and I mean no one really cared to hear it as far as clubs go.

I will post some more tracks as I get time, there are some I really like.

Very cool song, man. Aside from the mastering, I wouldn't change a thing. I loved the solo.
