My S D 84-40 needs pot

My 84- 40 needs a ch. 1 overdrive pull boost switch/pot. the schematic or manual doesn't have enough info to order one. The old one is scratchy and jumps in volume but works. I would like to find a new one and not pull the old one to try to get info. from it

Its a nice little amp and I don't shut it down until I have to. I took the pot apart and sprayed it with circuit cleaner and have been cranking it but it still has trouble

Get some electronics cleaner like deoxit or the CRC stuff. They are mostly alcohol based stuff and spray it into the pot. Turn the knob quickly a couple dozen times. That might fix it.

DeOxit works, Radio Shack will have it. Spray it in, turn the knob a few times, and let it dry overnight before using.
