oh yay..this thing totally kicks the mt-2's ass
very tube like..and it doesn't color the tone. its very transparent..
good for most styles of music, good for overdriving my amp, good for me.
i love this thing!

share some of your sd-1 settings! :) include amps too!

thanks

Re: My SD-1 came today!!

I like to set overdrives with the gain from 10-11 o' clock and the volume/level full up when boosting an already overdriven amp.

Re: My SD-1 came today!!

Gain very minimal and the level around 2:00, (like mrid) when pushing an already overdriven amp.

Re: My SD-1 came today!!

I'll even take the Gain down to about 8:00; just enough to give a non-overdriven amp a little bit of a push.

I put mine through a Trace Elliot Velocette tonight. I've NEVER been able to get this amp to sound good in the year plus I've had it. The SD-1 did the trick; full on Keef sounds right there with a Telecaster!

Re: My SD-1 came today!!

i like to keep my tone knob down pretty far, at least at like 9:00, or else i feel like i'm losing something

Re: My SD-1 came today!!

great pedal for sure...

goosin' a plexi/jmp or 800 it is THE 80's metal tone.

Re: My SD-1 came today!!

I like mine gain down, level up for a somewhat dirty boost! Tone around 12:00

Re: My SD-1 came today!!

Why is it I don't hear more folks rave about this pedal?

I never even really knew they existed until I saw Duke Robillard using one live.

I snapped one up cheap in a "everything must go" sale from a local shop thinking I would turn around and unload it for profit but the silly thing sounded better than anything else I'd laid my hands on.
