cool; how do you like the harmonizer - how does it work - you just type in what key you are playing and it gives you 5ths or something?

It works really well. It was before digitech moved everything to China.

As long as your guitar is in tune, it works great. It is intelligent. It does diatonic harmonies for the key you select.

I used to have a similar preamp/tons of effects into a Roland Jazz Chorus thing going on. Cool setup :)

Hey, I could buy an RG 550 right now for like $175...what do ya think, a quality foray back into the world of the floyd rose? or stay away?

RG550s are pretty nice guitars. I used to have a 560, and it played great and sounded good for the style of stuff I was playing at the time.

Much will depend on whether you like the very wide, very skinny necks on those things. I picked one up for old times' sake at a store a while ago and within about five minutes my hand was sore. A real thumb behind the neck, light touch, shredder neck. No good for digging in.
