My Tele String Spacing

I've been worried about the string spacing on my newly modded MIM tele. Used a GFS humbucker cut pickguard, and a SD APH-1n.

This is a crappy but fairly accurate pic. I think it is just slightly more misaligned in person than in the pic.

What do you guys think? Will it be a problem?

Also, one of the holes for the mounting screw was not punched out when I got it. The guy who installed the pickup had to punch out the piece of metal, and thread it. It worked, but the side effect is that the humbucker rocks up and down slightly if you push on it, because the re-threading must have been accidentally at a slight angle. Doesn't seem like SD quality, but I guess I got unlucky on my first pickup.

Re: My Tele String Spacing

it's probably not going to matter a huge amount...you could just raise the poles that are off

Re: My Tele String Spacing

standard humbuckers are never Fender spaced..... Trembuckers and F Spaced designs work better on Fenders modern bridges and Floyd bridge spacing....

Re: My Tele String Spacing

You'd more likely have a problem if it was the first string that was off center from the pole piece. Being that the 6th string is larger it generates a stronger electrical current, so, I think you will be ok. Adjust your pup height so that bass and treble sides are level, play it and see how loud the bass side sounds vs. the treble side. I think you'll find that everything is ok.
