Mystery Single Coils - Need help with an ID

I'm the second owner of the 1996 G&L Legacy. It's an amazing instrument and when I bought it I was told it had Bill Lawrence Pickups in it. These puppies are the most neutral single coils I've ever played. So I pulled them this week to investigate what they actually are. I've attached a couple of photos here. They're signed and dated with interesting resistance values (4.8k, 6.6k, and 8k) but the signature doesn't look like Bill Lawrence at all. Everyone in the band took a shot at reading it. While it looks like the model is an S2, we're still not completely clear on what they are. Anyone out there familiar with the shape of those lines on the signature?

Writing looks similar to how Curtis Novak signs his, but can't make out the name properly. Looks like Michael Def-gli- or Def-yla-? No idea.

Right, I've been googling 'Michael' and a lot of other things to try to get the name. All three pickups have s2 written on them, and the resistance values are interesting. I feel like this forum is uniquely qualified to solve the riddle.
