Can only get so loud at 10pm in an apartment building, but it sounds damn fine to me. Should get some good time with it tomorrow.

Congrats! Is that a "traditional" slant recto cab?
Hard to tell from the pic. Looks like a slant standard to me.

Here's my traditional from approx. the angle

that little bugger on the top is the quarterback  small and in control, looks around and throws the TOUCHDOWN!!! :headbang:

Re: N(U)CD: My first 4x12

Nice cab, I'm sure that'll suit you nicely

Aside: In all my years of playing, I have never once played through a 4x12", and until I grabbed the Hayden late last year, I've not played a 2x12" either...

Re: N(U)CD: My first 4x12

How can you go through life never playing a 4x12?

I feel lame when only playing one 4x12.

This is my Jerry moment of the day.

Re: N(U)CD: My first 4x12

ya the 8x12 really pounds you in the chest, it is awesome (maybe not so good for the ears regardless of what sized-amp is cranked though)

Re: N(U)CD: My first 4x12

Still haven't got to play it with any real volume yet, the snow has been making my (public transportation) commute really long this week. But I'm off tomorrow, and oh how the neighbors will cower in fear.

*edit- Probably played it far too loud for an apartment than I should've this morning, but it sounded great. There was something weird going on with the upper left speaker earlier, but I guess getting some real power through there kicked it back in place. I'm used to playing through 1960 cabs (T75s) at practice and a G12H30 in my combo at home, so at first the V30s' mids sounded a bit unpleasant at low volumes, but turning it up I really like how it provides cut to otherwise fat sounds. Should sit better in a full band setting than I'm used to with 1960s.

Nice! I've said it before, but Mesa cabinetry is pure titties. I've had my Mesa halfback 2x12 for about 6 months now and despite weighing about as much as a 1960a due to the EVM, it will go nowhere.
