Hello All! It's been awhile since I've had time to hang out with you guys and gals!

I had to take a moment to share this fortunate transaction I encountered.

$500 bought this Carvin Legacy VL100 Head and 412! Yep, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!

I spent some time inside the head cleaning and some more time calculating and biasing the amp.

Words can not express the tone pouring from the 4 Celestion V30's!!!

And physically in great shape, too!Carvin Legacy VL100 Half Stack.jpg

Wow that amp is sweet. I saw Steve play through one and the tone he got was amazing.

Re: NAD!!! Carvin Legacy VL100 Half Stack

I used a Legacy Half-stack as my main rig for 3-4 years in a few bands. Solid amp, though they were very loud. I used mine with an attenuator. It was a loud, powerful, bold, rich, expressive sounding amp.

The only reason I stopped using it was that my amp was subject to a tube failure and the fuses didn't blow, which friend the amp. I had sections of it rebuilt but never could get it to work right. I kind of miss it. Maybe I'll get another one someday to run as a backup.

Use JJ preamp tubes - Carvin guys recommended this and I got the best sound out of the amp that way. Congrats on
