NAD: Early/Mid 90s Rivera Thirty Twelve R30

Been playing this in my local MGR for about 3 months every time I went in. Really has a "sweetness" to the tone with the lower wattage that the Fifty Five Twelve R55 didn't seem to retain. Sold my '94 Peavey Blues Classic and picked this up. It's seen some "love" in its time but it's quite a nice sounding little box.

very cool. a buddy has the hundred duo 12 and its a great amp but heavy as hell

This one is pretty light and thus an easy carry. Way lighter than my 5150 Combo. ;)

sweet. what power tubes?

edit: never mind, el34's i guess

Very cool. I have always dug Rivera amps... at least in theory. I did take a Quianna 2x12 combo out to a gig once and didn't love the tone. Something about those 6L6s in that amp just didn't work for what I was trying to do. EL34s would probably have made me happier. I really wanted a Jake for a long time. My Bogner EL34 Shiva cured that GAS, but I still wonder what might have been with a Jake.

Very cool! My first serious amp was a Knucklehead 100 half stack. In fact, I only recently shifted the 4x12, the head I sold off when I got my Splawn Quickrod.

Thanks all. Been playing it the last couple of days and it's just as it was all the last few months I played it at MGR - a well made sweet sounding small amp.

Really an impressive small amp. Tones I’m getting are pretty extraordinary. Lots of power and volume for 30 Watts; can only imagine the R55 Fifty Five Twelve must be a real MONSTER!

Agreed! I've been pleasantly surprised with it. Never been a fan of 1x12 in general and have always gravitated towards 2x12 but this one resonates with me. There's just something different about it that I've not encountered before. I really like the clean tones it has with singles and humbuckers.
