NAD Egnater content

I decided to step away from Fender Amplification and enter the world of Egnater.

I'm very happy with the amp and all of its tonal possibilities so far. Everything I've tried has made me happy so far. I have ok complaints to speak of at this time. Just enjoying NAD.

Thank you. I'm very pleased with it so far. I'm on a hunt for a nice overdrive pedal to put in front, and maybe an EQ to boost for leads/solos. Gonna be a fun week of guitar playing.

Re: NAD Egnater content

I've got one of those!

A few tips: If you want to play some heavy stuff, set your amp to Modern/Vox/Tight and Hot or Deep and Clean/Bright.
Then scoop the mids just a bit. That unveils the secret Rectifier mode. :D

Also, get a EQ pedal NOW and drop it in the loop. Then add some bass in the 100 Hz region.
The Tweaker doesn't push much over there by it's own and goddamn does it sound better with that extended bass. Much bigger!
Also, if you want to give the mids a bit more of a modern character, cut the lower mids a bit (800 Hz on my GE7) and boost the high mids (1.6 Khz on my GE7).
It sounds more aggressive than stock.

I usually set mine to clean with a hint of grit then slam the front. Congrats!

Re: NAD Egnater content

Planning on picking up the EQ pedal and some type of overdrive to hit the front end with today. The tones that are going to come screaming out of this amp later today should be quite enjoyable. Thank you Diego.

Re: NAD Egnater content

I LOVE my Tweaker. At first I thought it was darkish, but I noticed on any setting it has no harsh tones.

I switched the V1 & the other preamp tube (nearest the power tubes) to JJ's which, for $26, made it brighter & more present without any harshness and punched up the distortion a smidge tighter. It also helped articulate the G&B strings more.

But as is, the thing SCREAMS with harmonically strong pickups (Pearly Gates.)

I particularly enjoy the vintage/ british with the three eqs dimed.

Enjoy!!!

I also like to get my crunch from pedals with my Tweaker. The ProCo Rat with a Ts9 or Sd-1 sounds great. I have not tried the EQ pedal in the loop yet. I definitely want to try this.
