Marshall JVM 1 watt!!
I had previously owned the big brother of this lil guy in the JVM205H, but I had ordered this on a whim without trying one, in hopes that it sounded even kinda close to the big brother......
WOW! First impression was awesome. Sounds EXACTLY like the big brother! Huge amounts of gain on tap! Can get to slight bluesy breakup to full out thick sludgy fuzzy gain! Somewhere in the middle is a tight and satisfying crunch. The resonance button adds a HUGE bottom end boost that can make your palm mutes thick and chunky without an OD! But throwing an OD in front tightens it up even more. All this tone at only... 1 FREAKING WATT! Or .1W with the switch on the back!
The clean channel is nice. Its definitely got that marshall clean flavour with a chimey but just at the edge of breakup kind of tone. An OD pushes it over the edge. I dig it.
Im only playing it through an open back 1x12 with a Celestion 7080 speaker for now, looking to upgrade my cab in the future.
Easily my favorite low wattage amp I've owned.
