Splawn Quickrod

I've owned a Shiva for a few years, and while I still love and respect the amp, it is time to part ways for something different. I've always liked the hot-rod Marshall sound but I've never owned an amp that quite does it. The Shiva is its own thing. I dont think it really captures the mid range tonal characteristics of Marshall, and I dont believe it is supposed to for that matter. So, enter the Quickrod. I just got it today so I will be toying around with it for the next few days, learning its personality. So far, its a beast. Like, if you could have a gun that shoots spinning light sabers in full-auto, thats this amp...

I mean, look at it. F**king WHITE TOLEX. Dear God its a thing of beauty.

That thing looks good enough to eat! I know exactly what you mean about the Shiva not having the Marshall Midrange . Even my 'Crate Stealth' , also a hot rod Marshall type amp, has more of that souped up classic Marshall tone I like than the Shiva, although its a budget amp. I wonder how the Splawn compares against a Stiletto Deuce II.
