Last week just for the hell of it, I was on AMS's website scrolling through the scratch and dent section when I saw this Epiphone DR-100 package in Vintage Sunburst, going for only $79.99 with free shipping. For that price, you got the guitar , a heavy duty gig bag, truss rod wrench, and a Headstock Tuner. When I got the package in last Wednesday , I was surprised at how improved , this model is. The tuners are now Die cast and hold tuning quite well. I did however, clean the fretboard with some Lemon Oil, lower the action with the truss rod wrench , put on a new set of Elixirs 11-52, and change the plastic bridge pegs for a new set of Graph-tech tusq which I bought at Guitar Center that same day. Seeing that this is a " Scratch and Dent " item, I could not find anything wrong at all except for a slight hole in the packing box, that's it. Perhaps AMS has too many of these in stack and this is their way of letting them go ? Don't know and don't care. This was a helluva bargain for the price. Sounds good and I'm happy with it.
