NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

I know you guys have the big kahunas to look to for NAMM coverage - Premier Guitar and the like. But my little ol' slice of the internet is also going to NAMM, in a way! One of my good buddies who is the product manager for the biggest instrument retailer in NZ is at the Winter NAMM show right now, and we're going to be doing joint coverage this year, with him snapping the pics and me putting them up onto the Six-String Samurai website for all and sundry to have a look at.

If you're interested in seeing this year's NAMM from a slightly different angle, come along for the ride! The pictures from the show will be going into this Flickr account right here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92030427@N04/

It's actually being updated in real time, whenever he gets a glimpse of something awesome.

And I'll be writing up updates as we go, the first of which is a sneak peak at some of the upgraded Sterling by EBMM line at the pre-show: http://sixstringsamurai.co.nz/2013/...g-samurai-joint-coverage-part-1-the-pre-show/

Thanks for looking, SDUGF! Hope you enjoy it :)

I just came from a press conference with Dave Mustaine where he announced his new doubleneck Dean guitar with a single LW-MUST on the 12 string side and a pair of LW-MUSTs on the 6-string side. It has a wild graphic. But the coolest part is that when you make a double-neck "V," it turns out looking like an "M." I wonder if that was intentional...

^^ If Mustaine realizes it, it will be :laugh2:

No, but seriously, he´s had a few doubleneck Vs over the years, it was only a matter of time until Dean made him one, too, as he needs one for 2 or 3 tracks that they play live. I´m actually surprised that ESP didn´t market one when they had the chance. Normally they´re the money grubbing "Idea from an endorsee? Make it in 12 versions from crap to CS and SELL, SELL, SELL!" guys :D

He also had several Jackson double Vs, with the same M kinda shape :)

Whoa, those new Sterlings look really nice. A PURPLE AXIS!! I wonder what's the price tag on those..

Re: NAMM 2013 coverage - from a slightly different point of view!

Woah, that purple axis.... ughh... I might have to look into that, seeing as regular MM axis guitars, and MM in general, are stupidly hard to find in South Australia... i've only seen the Sterling line and the MM basses....

The same Dimarzios as the proper axis? Those are highly sought after pickups!!

That's pretty cool! Haha I'm sure he knows it... I wonder when he'll stop just asking Dean to make him copies of his old Jacksons though.... :D

Thanks for looking guys, I'm stoked you've found at least a little value from it already! Gearing up to see what my friend Matt's got in store for us tomorrow.

Thanks dude! I can't take credit for the pics - hopefully next year I'll be there to take my own pics!

Thanks for the updates! I was looking forward for the new Caparisons. Bummer that they got rid of the clocks on the C2's. That blue flametop Horus looks awesome either way.

Does anyone know what Seymour Duncan came out with this year that is new? Besides Steve Harris' bass pickups. Guitar related perhaps
