Nashville guys, need some advice

I've got a 1970 Super Reverb that I want to have blackfaced. I have called every shop in Memphis, tn that I was told could do the work and every one of them was a COMPLETE as.....er...jerk on the phone with me, like they had better things to do than to answer the phone of a potential customer so I refuse to take anything to them.

I need a good tech or shop in Nashville that's capable of blackfacing a fender amp, anyone got suggestions?

Do yourself a favor...ship the amp to Bruce Collins at Mission Amps, get him to blackface it and do his own mods to it...the Normal Channel with be the best sounding BF Super you've ever hear and will have verb and vibe on it, the vib channel will have a thicker tone and a more marshall/tweed character to it. You will be able to have both a stock BF tone as well as a tweaked out BF tone in one amp as well as the ability to run an A/B/Y box and use one or the other or combine to 2 for some very cool tones. I had Bruce do these mods to my Twin Reverb and couldn't be happier with it!

Mission amps is a long way (colorado) and just shipping the chassis would kinda scare me (though it's better than shipping the whole amp) I don't really want two seperate amp sounds (part of the beauty of the super is I just use one channel, and it gives me all the tones I want). I just want it blackfaced and recapped...any idea how much that would run me with mission amps?

Having Bruce revoice and tweak one channel isn't like having a whole 'nother amps in one box, it just is a slightly different flavor of beautiful BF Fender tone plus he puts reverb and tremolo on both channels so one channel is just like a stock BF Super with verb and vibe and the other channel is slightly thicker/fatter BF tone.

Either way, I shipped my Twin reverb chassis to Bruce and had it done and shipped back and everything was cool...Fender chassis are built like tanks so I wouldn't worry too much about that. As for the prices, drop Bruce an email or call him if you want and talk price...I'll tell you this, his prices are more than fair considering the quality of workman ship and quality of parts involved. I got a full on cap job, new power cord, all new tubes and bias as well as fix the tremolo (it didn't work at all when I sent it to him) and Bruce's mods and tweaks and it still cost me less than it would have to have it done here in town at some places!
