Nashville Tele wiring

I'm thinking of wiring up my 3 pickup tele so that its just a normal tele but the tone control blends in the middle pickup.

Is this advisable or do I lose something? Would I lose brightness, kind of like how independent volume knobs on a Gibson loses brightness as you turn the volume down?

You'd lose a Tele tone control, no? Typical 250k volume controls do roll off a touch of highs as they are turned down. But I think your wiring idea is a great one, because you roll the middle off and you have a normal Tele (just no tone control), and if you keep the 'master' volume separate from the middle, you could roll down the bridge and neck and just use the middle, or mix in whatever amount of bridge or neck you want.

I'm doing a quasi-Brent Mason Tele that's similar. 920D Customs sells a control plate that gives you a third knob so that you can retain the tone control.
