Need some help installing some pickups here..
I've got a Mayones guitar, came with Velvetrone pickups installed.
Purchased a set of Nazgul/Sentient pickups and followed the wiring diagram they sent with the pickups -- I think that was a mistake. Was eager to install them and didn't even look them over honestly..
They worked but.. didn't sound great. Lotttts of feedback -- I've got a video with a semi-clean tone if anyone needs reference. I assumed there was a loose ground or something
Anyway. Took them out the same day after being dissatisfied and just kind of gave up on it until now. But looking over the diagram they sent, it shows one volume and one tone for each pickup - 4 controls/knobs in total. I had done exactly what it shows on THAT diagram, taped off the red and white on both.
But looking online, there IS a schematic for my specific setup which is what I should have looked at in the first place - 2 humbuckers, 1 push/pull volume knob, one tone and a 3 way blade switch.
My question though -- it looks like I need to rewire the blade switch (which I had never touched initially) -- did they wire it incorrectly from the factory? Or am I looking at something incorrectly?
Also note, aren't currently any pickups installed
