Major General GAS
I'm recording some demos for a new recording project and finally got fed up with using loops for bass parts. I've had a bass on hand for about 15 years but never really bonded with it so I decided to get a new bass and ditch the loops. Since the sole purpose of the guitar is recording, I went with something not too expensive that sounded and felt "right". That turned out to be this Ibanez.

I plugged it in and recorded this bass part as soon as I got home: Evergreen Tears
Recording this track reminded me of the importance of having the right neck carve for your hand. It doesn't need to be expensive (most of my guitars cost 5x what I paid for this bass) but when it's right, it's right.
