NBD: Jackson Concert XL

After many hours of checking the used musical instrument ads, I got an amazing deal with a Jackson Concert XL bass from 1992-93. This bass hasn't been touched for several years and the owner just wanted to get rid off it. I haven't had the time to clean it or reset it, but it's in very good condition for being a 20 years old bass.
This baby will match perfectly the metal band that I just joined :headbang:

Dave Ellefson played this model during 'Countdown to Extinction' and 'Youthanasia'. Since then he used other brands but he started using again Jackson when he got his signature.

I'm gonna put EMG on it and make a metal bass machine :firedevil

Nice. Now you need a Concert V bass with Kahler bridge. The new Ellefson import is a nice one as well.

Thats awesome!! Ive always loved those and there was also a Kramer bass I played back in the day that was amazing too. Ive been looking hard at the new jackson basses, esp the Ellefson.

Re: NBD: Jackson Concert XL

I've got an Ellefson 5-string JS model, and it's surprisingly nice. It's not as heavy as my old Concert V, but the neck is super comfy, and while the bridge doesn't have the individul string-spacing option like the Kahler bridge, they're really close together, which I like. Overall the width along the neck is not as wide as the Concert V or my other 5-strings. It's more like a 4.5-string neck to me.

There's a couple on Ebay right now for under $400.
