NBD: Schector OMEN EXTREME-4

Love this new bass. Picked up a beat 95 Carvin. Repaired it and traded for this. Fits me much better than the Carvin did. Probably the nicest stringed instrument I've owned. Not expensive and built really well.

It was a choice between this and an Ibanez. I have had a couple of them in the past. Decided to try something new for me this time.

BTW: it comes with Active pickups.

Your bass has active electronics, but the pickups themselves are passive and wired to an on-board active preamp. They appear to be EMG-35 sized, so there are lots of aftermarket upgrades available.

Oh cool. Thanks for letting me know. I have a bit to learn.

In previous years this bass had Seymour Duncan's. Watching a factory tour they mention winding their own pickups. Will read up on the pickups.
