I have went up to Dothan AL on my way up to Birmingham to visit family and pick up my kids from Sumer Camp. Anyway yesterday was my wifes 43rd birthday, and I told her to get anything she wanted at the local scrapbook stores, which she did lol. She suggested that we go to a local guitar shop, so we went to a shop called "Metro Music" and I found a beautiful 1972 Gibson EBO bass (Walnut), it was on consignment for $750 with the original hardshell case. It was my wifes day, and so I didn't even mention much about the bass except I thought it played and sounded great. She went up to the owner and bought it for me while I was in the bathroom. I was totally blown away. What a great wife I have!

Yep, I'm sure you though everyone would complement the bass which is effin' awesome but I feel more compelled to congratulate you on the great "significant-other" you share your life with.

You are one lucky man :)

Dude!! Congrats X2! man, nice bass! How does it play and sound? And, congrats on having a cool Mrs!! I cant imagine having a supportive wife, let alone one who would buy me a guitar and on HER birthday even. WOW!

Seriously though, how many guys have a wife that would buy them a guitar, nevermind when it's THEIR BIRTHDAY. Amazing! I'd like to think my wife would do that for me, but I'm not holding my breath. :p Congrats man! :)

Got any pics? Of the bass too, lol. Hey, she's great man. My wife is close to that level in that she would never buy something for me like that, but if we have the money she's like "If you really want it, then get it." She did get me a case for my Epi Casino about eighteen years ago though for my birthday.

I love the EBO and EB3 basses, man. Great score! Enjoy that sucker for a long time.
