New Desk Day! Actually got the desk about a week ago but it took a while to get everything presentable. The new desk was key as I was moving from a MacBook Air on a laptop desk to an iMac. Another goal was to get decent spacing between my audio monitors since they're pretty honkin' big. Since my recording tools are all rack mounted, I needed a bit of rackspace. After seeing way too much MDF and melamine in studio furniture, I was thrilled to find Audiorax making custom studio furniture from solid wood. I opted for hickory with a cherry stain. Hickory is way tougher than cherry and has a pretty grain pattern IMO.
