I ended up with 2 new SH-10b Full Shred humbuckers that states they are for the neck position on the box. I'm wondering how one might sound in the bridge position of an '04 SG Special.
I also have a bridge Full Shred I've had for over 20 years - first in my '85 Washburn G5V, and now have it in an '11 Melody Maker SG that I picked up and gave a road worn finish to keep out in the garage for a beater. The thing plays as well as my "good" SG and sounds way better due to the pickup (to my ears)
The '04 SG has Duncans in it and I want to say they are SH4 and SH2 if I remember correctly. Sounds great, but for most of my playing I prefer the Full Shred.
I could pull the pickup from my beater SG and put in the good one, but the vintage one has no writing on it and the new ones have the Duncan logos on them for a matched look.
Any thoughts on the sound?
Any chance of converting one to bridge style?
