neck in parallel

Do any big name guitar players or brands put their neck humbuckers hardwired in parallel? I did it for my Squier Bullet Mustang that I put a Jazz neck/bridge combo in and I think it is more usable than had I wired it standard. I may put a 59/C in the bridge for even more versatility.

I don't know about all of them, but some might have the switching available to do that (Ibanez does on several models). I agree, the sound is usually cleaner and brighter - with more definition. Makes a neck pickup far more useful to have that choice.

i dont have anything hardwired in parallel, but i do have a few neck pups wired for a parallel option. love it for rhythm work both clean and dirty

I use Triple Shots and a DPDT phase switch on the neck volume knob to play the neck pickup both in parallel and out of phase for a really delicate, bright clean sound.

I've tried parallel on neck pickups a few times, but always thought split sounded better.
