Neck or bridge humbucker in parallel mode?

At seymourduncan I saw this schematic

But is configured to use the Bridge Humbucker as parallel, my question is which one is better to put in parallel?

That's just a coil split...not series to parallel.

But a three position DP/DT switch will let you have all three tones from one humbucker...just look around. The wiring diagram is there. And the diagram is also included in the box when you buy a new humbucker.

I'd say if you're only going to switch one pickup and not both, the neck pickup is the one to switch from series to single to parallel. The tone of a neck Strat pickup is the tone I miss most when I play my Les Paul...not the bridge pickup. A choice of two extra clean tones from a neck humbucking pickup is nice! Better still would be to do it to both humbuckers tho. The JB gets a great tone in parallel ( as well as split and in series)...very Tele like, IMO. Lew

but as you could see they are using a pull/push pot to serial/parallel the Bridge Humbucker

Why Seymour Duncan has this setup in their diagrams?

Why Seymour Duncan has this setup in their diagrams?

Because most guys don't want to drill a hole in thier guitar to mount a 3 position switch...so they use a 2 position push/pull pot instead. Lew

The part of the push/pull pot it's ok but I was asking you why they use the "Bridge Humbucker" for Serial/Parallel instead of use the "Neck Humbucker"?

No reason. You just apply the same wiring to the neck hummer if that's what you want to do.
