Hi everyone

Please help me. What pickup should i by for my strat when I want a fat rich and clear tone in the neck position. I alresdy got a Hot rail SHR-1C in the bridge pos. and a vintage something in the middle+neck. This sounds great for the blues/Rock style I prefer to play. But I really want some more power in the neck position. Any prospsals??? much apriciated - thanks.:feedback:

Sounds great! - thanks, but maybe it has too low output for a blues trio, does it get to people? just wondering...

I use a Pearly Gates bridge model in the neck of my Carvin paired with a CC. It actually made that guitar take on a lot of Gibson flavor.

Year great pickup. But I'll need to cut my strart for getting space for this one. Thanks for the advice.

Alnico Pro 2 for sure. It has the fattest tone i've heard in the neck. Aside from a hot rails. But the tone is so much better on the APH1, no mud. just warm fat sweet singing tone.

If you want a higher output. I've heard the DiMarzio Tone Zone and Air Zone are both nice and fat sounding

Are you looking for a single coil-sized pickup, or can you put a humbucker in there?

If you really want Gibson tone, get a 57 classic or Classic plus. The BB's are amazing as well and a little more grinding.

Problem? They never have 4 conductor, and the BB's are NOT potted.

If you want a Duncan take on that flavor - I agree with the APH. I will say I rather like those Robben ford fenders and some of the strats that have the 59 in them. Very nice, classic rock tone. Very clear, and fat. Lots of highs.

I am a huge fan of the APH1. If you want a little sizzle and a little thickness go PG. I use a PG bridge in the Neck of a guitar and it's very bad ass.

Im pretty sure he's looking for a single sized bucker...he has a hot rails in the bridge!!

You will not get a fat gibson tone from a strat, but the fattest you can probably get in an alder body with a single sized bucker would have to be a hot rails or a JBJr in the neck...i have a JBJr in the neck of an alder superstrat and it sounds fat, warm, and just big!
