Neck Pickup Options for Jackson Soloist SL1 (Single Coil or Stacked)

Please recommend a SD neck pickup for my Jackson Soloist SL1. I now have a Custom Custom (TB-11) in the bridge, a DiMarzio Injector in the the middle and a Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues II in the neck. I love the Custom Custom and Injector pick-ups, but I'm not real fond of the Heavy Blues II.

The stock Seymour Duncan stacked pickups were not my favorite in this guitar.

What are the good options? I'd like something that is noiseless or hum cancelling. I play mostly classic and instrumental rock through Marshalls (Plexi's, and 800's).

Thanks!

What don't you like from Classic Stack Plus and Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues II? What do you wish from neck pickup tone-wise?

Great question. I think both are pretty sterile sounding. I would like a neck pickup that is warmer and more Strat like.

Keep in mind a Soloist will never sound like a Strat because of 24 frets and neck through.

You'll get close enough though. I'd call it a 'harder, more direct' sound.

Suhr V60LP. Its not noiseless, but you could get Ilitch to wind one of his noise canceling coils if it matters that much (Its pricey though). Stagger is also much flatter or if you ask they might wind you one with flat poles.

Hot rails for Strat. Mostly sounds like a PAF, but a bit smoother and more compressed. Good for gain solos in the neck.

Thanks for your replies. The Hot Rails sounds promising. Maybe I didn't give the Classic Stack enough credit. How about the Vintage Classic Stack?

Since you didn't gel with STK-S4, I think you'd better skip STK-S7 and go with STK-S6 for warmer strat like. If you play with gain more, then just go with Hot Rails or Cool Rails.
