Neck Pickup Placement/Bill Lawrence

I have a Bill Lawrence L-500R pickup. I don't know how it should be positioned in the neck. With the Logo towards then end of the neck or towards the bridge?

It doesn't really matter, but usually you'd have the logos toward the bridge. Aren't Duncans like that, too?

Try it both ways. I usually like to reverse my neck pickups because you get a brighter and tighter sound.

The point is, these are blade pickups, with identical bobbins. In a normal screw/slug humbucker it makes a major difference.

if it's symmetrically wound, then you are correct sir. there is a bit of talk about Dimebag flipping his bridge BL to get a different sound. There might be something to that story and it might also apply to the neck pickups. If anything, it's an easy experiment.
