Neck pickup sounds weak...

Run me through the "Why's" of this.

We are talking a DiMarzio PAF compared to a 59/Custom hybrid.


I expect the C/59 to be a little more sporty...but not this much!

No hum on the neck
Loud and proud when mixed with the bridge (doesn't seem out of phase)

What up???? Just doesn't have the GRRRRR it should through the mega cannel on my Mesa. Trouble shoot me boys? (One option is this tech sucks...)

the hybrids have a cool thing going on in the mids that makes the pup seem a little louder to my ears. is this an old dimarzio paf?

Yes - an old DiMarzio PAF in the neck pulled out of a 73 Les Paul vs a New(er) Duncan 59/C in the bridge.

Have not herd this much disparity between a neck & bridge bucker in a while...

These sound difficult to check...

Anything that could be goofed up being in with a Duncan in the bridge???

It isn't hard to check, you touch your meter to your cable.
