Neck Pickup That sounds Like an SSL-1/SSL-2

Hello,

I have a Strat that has SSL-2s in the neck & middle and I am almost perfectly happy with their tone. My problem is that my neck has a 1 5/8" nut width and the string spacing is quite off on the neck pup - like, the high E string sits directly over the pole and the low E sits almost square in the middle between the E and A pole pieces. The tone of the SSL-1s/SSL-2s suits me just fine, but I want more clarity (and pop) in the neck position with the low strings.
Can anyone recommend a neck pickup thats sounds more or less like the SSL but has a tighter string spacing?
Oh, and I use a Warmoth 10-16" radius so a non or flatter stagger is preferred, but isn't absolutely critical.

Thanks!

Think Bill Lawrence (Wilde) does this - Kinman also. AFAIK, Wilde does this in a true single coil. One of the boutique makers (as well as Duncan Custom Shop) could probably could accomodate.

If you want noise cancelling, could go with one of the rail pickups also.
