Neck pocket question

On my warmoth strat body, i noticed that there is no finish at all in the neck pocket. Do i need to put any kind of thin polyurathain (or any kind of finish) in the neck pocket to protect it from moisture? thanks for ur help guys.

the wood on wood should be more than enough. heck, my whole neck isn't finished on my guitar and it hasn't bent into a taco or fallen off yet. I think that anything that you put in there could make the tone of your guitar deaden up.
