Neck Pup for HS Strat Configuration

I'm about to buy a custom pickguard set up for a humbucker in the bridge position and a single coil in the neck position. I plan on putting a Bill Lawrence L500XL Humbucker in the Bridge position.

There will be no tone knobs or switch, only a volume knob with a push/pull pot.

the guitar: Fender Deluxe Fat Strat, Alder body, Maple neck, Maple fretboard.

The guitar is tuned to Drop B, mainly used to play original music, but also some Slipknot type covers.

What pick-up do you reccomend for the neck position?

I recommened the Duncan Cool Rails.

That is what I was considering. I wish I could get Duncan Pick-ups as cheap as Bill Lawrence...

Does anybody know of any company or where I could get a single coil pick-up similar to the Hot/Cool/ and Vintage rails that seymour duncan makes, But possibly a more inexpensive pick-up?

Keep an eye on the Trading Post. Lotsa good deals there. Plus, watch eBay, but be careful.

Black Rose Customs sometimes has blowout deals. Check his forum. Patience is your friend when it comes to good pup deals.

Is there an L290 with Rails, or are you just suggesting a Bill Lawrence Pick-up to go with a Bill Lawrence pick-up?
