Need a measurement for Fender Jazz Bass bridge

I need the distance from the leading edge of a modern Fender Jazz bass bridge
to the rear edge of the bridge pickup please.

Got a new body that isn't drilled for bridge or string through ferrule.

Thanks in advance!!

Will.

Will, are you at a point you could "dry fit" the neck?

You could that, then measure from the 12th fret...

Yep mate, I've already got the neck and fitting a standard
bridge os easy. It's just that I have this huge gotoh fine
tune bridge and I want to keep the mounting screws

2012 Fender Am Std Jazz Bass, edge of rout to edge of three mounting screws, chunky back edge bridge, 44.5mm.

Umm... if it's that massive of a bridge, the front edge may not be the same as stock.

You need to measure from the 12th fret to bridge saddle.

Re: Need a measurement for Fender Jazz Bass bridge

The dimension that I quoted is for the current incarnation of the Am Std Jazz Bass. Its bridge is chunkier than the traditional flat design. The new design has provision for through body stringing. It has a chunky raised lip at the back edge and is fastened by three wood screws.

These screws are in neither the same alignment or spacing as the four found on traditional Fender bass bridges or direct replacements such as the Gotoh 201B.
