Need a special strat bridge pup

I love stras and single coils, but i can't stand the bridge single coils i tried so far, they sound way to bright and thin and harsh, so i never use them.
So i was thinking about getting something diferent to get me a fat, thick sound almost like a P90 in a bridge of a mahogany guitar.
I tought 'bout P90s of course, but i'm afraid that they will be too bright in an alder body, this morning I got an idea, what about a Minibucker?!
After doing some researching in SD site i really enjoyed the Seymourized Mini Bucker and I think it may offer me what I want even in the bridge of an alder body guitar.
Any of you guys as experience with a Seymourized Minibucker in an strat with an alder body and maple neck with rosewood fretboard?
Any tips and especially clips would much aprecciated.

Re: Need a special strat bridge pup

You could always try a quarter pounder, which is a great little pup. It will give you a fatter sound than a normal single. It's a bit more p90 ish really.
Sorry, no clips but I'm sure this is the one for you.

Never tought about those actually...
Just read the description sounds like they will push the amp into overdrive really easily..I'm pretty sure a friend of mine uses them, so it should be easy to test.
Thanks dude

Try a 10K alnico 2 Duncan Antiquity Texas Hot Custom Bridge pickup. It's my fave.

You might also like the alnico 2 Twangbanger. Very smooth, fat and warm. Great mids! More output too...it'll push an amp into overdrive easier than a stock Strat bridge pickup.

+1, the Twangbanger is a great pickup. Mine is staying in my Legacy.
