Need a Strat middle pickup to add to...

...my Tele as a third pup. I need it to have a pickup cover that is smooth /flat surfaced like a Lace Sensor, because I hybred pick alot and the poles on a standard pup really get in the way and tear up my finger and nails. I need a little help selecting one for this application. Anyone?

The SD hot stack is the only strat style pup I can think of that doesn't have conventional pole pieces (it has a long bar instead) - although on the downside it isn't quite a strat pup as it is a lot hotter than a standard pup and is hum cancelling (not that it is a bad thing).

The only thing that I can think of are the Lace Sensor series. Smooth plastic cover.

How about just buying the pickup you want and putting a smooth EMG style cover on it?

Why not just put another Neck pup in the middle, maybe with a different value? That would look pretty cool to Chrome cover pickups on a Tele!
