Need authentic strat sound.....

With noiseless or humcancelling strat replacement pickups.
I've got Little 59s in my strat now and they sound great but don't have that classic strat cluck and quack. I guess a hotter bridge pickup would be nice too.
Also - cosmetically, it would be nice if they looked like normal single coils.
Any recommendations?

Seriously mate I love the sound of the vintage rails. They sound perfect in a strat.

I've got them fitted in my old jap 62 reissue and they sound amazing:bowdown:

Really ? I tried the malmsteen hs3's and they were poo!:smack: A mate of mine had the prs swampash special and I loved the sound of the vintage rail in that. So I though I'd give it a go:smokin:

Seymour Duncan SSl-1's, Antiquity Surfers or Antiquity Texas Hot pickups will get you the authentic strat sound your after. I have the Texas Hot's and love 'em. Other's prefer the Surfers. Still others like to mix Surfer neck and middle with a Texas Hot Custom Bridge.

What is your idea of authentic strat sound?

Lew and TGWIF both said the Classic Stack Plusses are about the best reproduction of a vintage strat sound they've heard from noiseless pickups, and they've both tried their fair share of them. I think Christian (TGWIF) did an actual A/B of them with several other noisless singles.

Maybe one of them will chime in. I'm one of the last guys on here who should be talking about single coils.

I wonder what the Fender Noiseless single coils are like as well to be honest. Although I never did like the lace sensor pickups:amish:

Re: Need authentic strat sound.....

FWIW,
The way I see things an "Authentic" strat sound includes the 60 cycle hum. That said, the chime and squack strats are known for can be made in spades with the Classic Stack Plus pickups. Plus they also look kind of like a traditional PUP .
I've only heard one guitar with them in it and it sounded like a strat to me. The bridge is a touch hotter and sounded good under gain to me. Not metal krunch mind you..... but you said authentic.
If you want to go totally authentic go SSL1's or AntII surfers with the custom bridge. Yeah you'll have some hum, but it's as authentic as it gets!!
Good luck.
