Hello all,
Those who helped me in the speaker/cab dept. Thanks!
So I have a Jackson Dinky Pro. Dk2ht. Alder body, maple neck, JB/59 setup.
I was doing research on other forums on Gibson's 498t. I played one in a SG a while back, an I enjoyed what it had to offer. Aside from numerous counterparts having effect on tone, the body wood, the bridge, Strings through the body/bridge, the nut, the fretboard, the thickness of wood, time of day, color underwear you wore that day, yadda yadda yadda...
To anyone's personal expierence, what would be the closest pickup to emulate a 498T?
I never played one, but for some oddly enough reason, just by I guess a hunch, Dimarzios "FRED" looks to be promising.
I mean, the 498T is just a mild PAF right?
Then the Custom5 pops up everywhere, I never played one either but Im not entirely sure about that either.
So, looking for a bridge pickup, similar to a 498T in a Jackson.
And I'm aware that the closest pickup would be a 498t. Just looking for something in a trembucker
Thanks guys!
