Need help picking out a PA system

My birthday is next month and I've decided to ask for a PA system to run my Line 6 POD through (like a $300 system for my room), but I don't really know what brand or model to ask for. Any suggestions please?

You don't really need a sound system to run a POD, they work quite well with just about any amp. But if you're really wanting a sound system, you can probably find a set of 12" full range speakers and a 50 watt power amp for around $300. Try Behringer.
