Need help with polarity and phase in a strat. SD + Fender pickups

Xeromus

Tone Ninja
So here's what I've got:

SSL-5, SSL-1, SSL-1 RWRP, Fender Fat 50s. 4 pickups.

What works: SSL-5 in the bridge, SSL-1 RWRP middle, SSL-1 neck.

What I'm trying to do: SSL-5 in the bridge, SSL-1 middle, and Fender Fat 50's in the neck position. '

What isn't working: Neck and middle position is out of phase.

What combination of pickups will be in phase in all positions?

1. Do I flip the wires for the F50 and leave the RWRP in?

2. Do I put a standard polarity SSL-1 in the middle?

I'm going to throw a curveball also. I have a blender mod installed on this guitar, which combines the neck and bridge pickups with the 2nd tone control. Right now those sound out of phase also.

Is it possible to get this working correctly?

Flip the wires on the Fender. You’ll be in phase across the board.

Hold the Fender and either of the standard Duncan’s up face to face. IIRC, they should attract. If so, with the wires flipped, you’ve effectively got a RWRP “Duncan” with the Fender. It’s then up to you what positions you want to cancel hum, and if you should use the standard or RWRP SSL-1 in the middle.

That did it. I switched the wires for the fender pup and the universe is in complete harmony again.

Daniel, talk about ironic, dude! I used the rwrp Fat50 in the neck
position of my Strat, which has an SSL5 in the bridge and a rwrp SSL1
In the middle. Guess what, yep, I also have a blender pot in there too!
Too funny! Glad you like the Fat50. Love mine in the neck also.
Blender pot really gives you the gamut of Strat tones. Enjoy.
I’ll let you know when I get the Air Classics installed in my Lester.
