need help....

obviously, thats why im here.


so,i have a 59/jb set (neck/bridge). for the past few months though, i have used the middle setting and turned the volume nob for the 59 to about 6. i dig this sound a lot. anyone know if a pup matches this setting?

I saw this. I can't cover this one with a diagram. :yell:

I doubt you'll find a pup that can cover that exact sound, but why bother. Do this: put a pot between the red and white wires of the 59. Dial it down 'til you have that exact sound. Carefully remove the pot without changing its position. Measure it. Replace it with a fixed resistor.

Pup "mod" accomplished.

Whenever I want to hear a lower output version of a pickup parallel wiring usually gets me close to the sound I want if not exactly. YMMV.
