Hi Everyone,
I just bought a Squier telecaster and gonna upgrade the pickups, any recommendations?
Looking for full / fat / clean/ open sounding, close to humbucker sound.
For mostly elvis music tribute band.
I like the sound of the Fralin blues Tele set,but was wondering if anything else is out there like them,
a little more affordable to.
Also, a strat single coil pickup in neck spot would work to if anyone has tried.
I use the neck more.
Thanx alot,

If you want a humbucker sound then get humbuckers such as the hot rails tele set

You might want a bit of variety, and get something like a Vintage Stack neck / Little 59 bridge.
Humbucking in all positions, fat and clean neck sound and some fat twang in the bridge.

I've got a Hot for Tele set (not to be confused with a Hot Rails for Tele) which is true single coils and it sounds great, but the bridge is way too aggressive and overwound for what you'd probably like.

Was thinking of the hot rails but worried it would distort more at higher volumes.
