I am building a Tele style guitar and soon will be needing to wire it up. I was hoping to get it right first time with choice of pots and caps. I can always change after playing it but getting things right first go would be nice . Planning for the neck pup has me a little stumped.
It's a mahogany body with 5/16 maple top. Bolt on maple neck with rosewood fretboard. I will be using long shaft pots - 2 volume-2 tone.
The neck pickup is a humbucker sized single coil . 6.71 with an A5 magnet.
Bridge is humbucker - 8.9 and A5 magnet.
Since the neck is low output, should i go with 500K audio pot for the volume and the 300K linear pot for the tone and use a .022 cap ?
On the bridge i was planning on using 500k audio volume-500k linear tone.022 cap.
Whats the Seymour Duncan Groups' thoughts for this combo?
