I decided that I need new pickups for all my guitars because they aren't getting anything close to what I'm looking for. First off, there's the Strat. Its got a bucker in the bridge and singles in the neck and middle with an alder body. I'm looking for a nice 80s style crunch in the bridge and an SRV style single coil tone in the middle and neck. The bucker also needs to be able to pick up harmonics extremely well. Next is my Gibson 61 Reissue SG with mahogany body. Again, I want a nice crunch but a little more modern than 80s out of the bridge with alot of harmonics. I want the neck pup to be kinda like Satriani's tone on the G3 Live in Denver DVD during his Little Wing solo, as he describes "tubular". Last off, there's my Gibson Les Paul Standard with mahogany body and maple top. I'm looking for a Joe Walsh style tone in the bridge pickup and a real jazzy clean in the neck pup. However, I might just sell the Les and if anyone's interested, please PM me with an offer, no lowballs and serious inquiries only. Will trade for some Jackson/Ibanez guitars.
