Need Some Help With Classical Guitar Tuning

I've never restrung a nylon string classical guitar...I used one of my books to get all the strings onto the guitar...

What I'm wondering is: Do we tune the classical guitar to normal 440 E to E,or does the tuning differ on a classical? Figure I better ask before I start breaking strings on this thing? Thanks..

A 440 is the way I always tune mine. I would also recommend the D'Addario Pro Art High tension strings. Since I have been using these I getr a lot of life, and once they stop stretching... they stay in tune real well.!! Well worth the price!!

Thanks John....Just seems like alot of tension on the tuners trying to get the strings up to the 440 pitch? And it's scaring me in such a way, that I think I need goggles! Can you say "PING" LOL

LOL, I'll trade. You send me the classical guitar to restring and I'll send you my Dano 12... that .008" octave G string should come with an OSHA warning label. :burnout:

As long as it isn't an Esteban 'real wood' guitar, you should be fine! :18:
