Need something to amplify vocals!

My new band has started practicing finally but all we've got for vocals now is 2 little 15 watt amps connected with a cable, and it's not enough power.

What is the thing we need to make them louder?

We're planning on buying a cheap Behringer mixer soon to record with.

Here it is:

If we bought a monitor, could we use that? It would also have to be cheap, like 50 to 70 bux. We're not going for quality right now, we just want to hear the vocals.

Any opinions are welcome!

Thanks,
Chris

A little powered monitor would do you good for your vocal application for now.

We do a similar thing for recording. My band, we all bought mics, our bassist got that $300 tascam recorder, and we bought an old 8 channel mixer that has 8 lo-z inputs for the mics. Works like a charm. All our songs are live takes.

I play through a tube 60 watt amp. The other guitar player has a Crate Blue Voodoo 120 watt half stack, but he doesnt crank it any louder than my amp. The bass player has a Carvin 160 watt, I think. So we're pretty loud, but not as loud as you would think.

i'm say maybe a 80watt powered monitor/speaker would do you fine. My band was in a similar situation for a while and that what we were considering.
