Need Speakers:Deville

I currently have 2 2x12 fender loudspeakers in my blues deville. The guy i bought it from had celestions in it and told me it sounded great. The amp already sounds good but i wanna see its full potential. I wouldn't like to spend more than 100. Are Jensens better than celestion? thanks, i heard hendrix used jensens.

I'd probably get 2 Hellatone 30's from Avatar. They're Celestion Vin 30's that are already broken in, and have a new label attached. Just check the ohms rating on the stock ones before ordering. Jensens are good, but but won't sound as dramatically better as the Celestion Vin 30's.

What do you have in the amp now? The stock Emi's Fender special design? I have a HRD. I run the stock Eminance speaker with a V30 in a Ext. cab and it sounds pretty damm good!! The V30 really brings the Mids out, And the stock speaker F.S.D. is not to bad. It's a Lil' boomy on the bottom and has a nice crisp highs. I like how they sound together. I don't think Jimi was a big Jensen Guy?? When I think Hendrix- I think Marshall.When I think Marshall- I think Celestion. Like GJer said check the Impedance. My guess is there two 8 ohms each in parallel = a 4 ohms load. So ya need 8 ohm speakers .But check first !!

Yep, the stock Fender is an Emi 125 with a lower wattage rating. Check the Fender HRD site which is out there...I think I found it while googling for the speaker. It's run by a student in the midwest and has some other mods for it.

I thought Jimi moved to Altecs and 6550's in the Marshalls by the time Band of Gypsys rolled around. Of course, I read that on the internet and we all know how reliable that is.
